BR-5 (DOUBLE HEAD) BREAK AND RAKE TOOL
|
J&N Tactical has introduced a new ultimate break and rake tool called the Vandal™ The two break-head design, US patent 8,387,487B2, allows the operator a greater tactical advantage when breaking and clearing out an opening. The "Y", which, connects the two break heads to the handle, allows the operator added safety by standing along side of a window while it is ported, instead of additional operator exposure while standing in front of the window while porting. The new Vandal™ truly allows the operator the greater tactical advantage during porting operations.
The "hammer plate" located at the base of the "Y" will pound out both the vertical and horizontal window supports. The break heads were also engineered to port/breach the top and bottom sliding windows on school busses. The laser cut teeth on the break heads will pull fabric and window blinds from the opening. The two break heads each have five replaceable, sharp, hardened steel tips to weaken and break heavy glass. Just below the break heads are four rake fins which assist in removing stubborn glass captured by window moldings, etc. The D-Handle and shaft of the Vandal™ are resin coated for a good firm grip by the operator.
The BR-5 is patented break and rake tool manufactured from steel, 58" in length with a weight of 11.3 lbs. The break tips can be replaced by purchasing an armor kit through a representative at J&N Tactical. The Vandal™ is another high quality and durable tool which will give your team many years of service.

“Wow !! What a tool. The Vandal is very highly effective and destructive piece of equipment. Its design not only looks ominous, its design is absolutely diabolic and medieval. It does what it was designed to do… Smash the living crap out of whatever you hit with it.”
Buckle and destroy wood casement windows w/insulated glass effortlessly. Any and all vertical and horizontal mullions do not stand a chance to the VANDAL. The tool heads will effectively rip out any venetian blind and/or curtain with one spin of the D-handle. The claw spiked heads catch any and all loose material on the outward pull.
I highly recommend products by J&N and I believe that it is better to "have" than "need". With out a doubt when you "have" the right tool you won't be complaining and griping about what you "need" to have to get a job done.

Our team has had the opportunity to use several of the tactical tools built by J&N Tactical. Recently our team trained with the VANDAL BR5. The tool worked great for porting the side windows of a school bus. The dual break heads on the tool breached the upper and lower windows with one hit. The reinforced strike plate was used to break out the center horizontal post in the windows with ease.
We met a little resistance when breaching the front side windows with the safety glass. The laminate made it a little more difficult to get through the glass with the tool. The Vandal is built with the same quality as the flashbang poles that we have used for the past three years. All the J&N Tactical tools are designed for the functional uses of our tactical team.
